Hello all I hope you are doing well. I've recently discovered I need to buy a new main jet for my stock nt carb (thanks for the help blueoval) but after doing some reading and some people still having problems after re jetting I am considering just buying an all around better carb do you guys have a favorite? Or could u point me in the right direction. Thank you so much

The nt carb is a great unit and works well for those not really into tunning it's so simple after jetted properly you really dont have to touch it!There are many good carb choices but ANY carb you chose will have to be set up,jetted,tunned to get the best out of it.

The stock carburetor is simple...very little adjustments so the tuning is typically a ball park to make work.
You can try the Dellorto clone carburetor that runs about $20 which is said to work maybe a little better but it's still not fine tunable.
To get a real fine tuneable carburetor you'll need to spend near $80 and considering your keeping with a stock motor it's not really worth the efforts and money.
I'll post up a link to the Dellorto clone..it's slightly bigger at 15mm and comes with a better air filter...the jets I recommended also work in this carburetor.

I don't mind tuning I just was wondering if there was a better or should I say more easily adjustable carb, What a the deal with the high low jets?

This is considered an upgrade but works much in the same was as the stock one..one jet and a needle.

Hey blueoval well I looked at The jet kit u sent me an it looks like we'll at least on mine the actual "jet" doesn't unscrew from the other but. I'll put a picture up in a few mins

The jet kit is for the NT carburetors... they are 5mm jets...perhaps you're looking in the wrong spot for the jet?

The jet is located inside the float bowl...it screws onto the tube...you need to use proper wrenches to remove it...it will unscrew, I promise...turn it counter clock wise to loosen it...the other wrench is to hold the tube from coming lose.
