I'm sure you've seen it at some point on tv or the internet. A 3 wheeled, v twin powered trike with a hundred year old history.

Usually, these beautiful machines would go for 30+ grand, but what if they were built out of bicycle parts instead?

My idea is to use a 212cc predator, 2 front wheels from a bicycle mounted to a basic pivot front end and a fabricated frame made mostly from squared steel. The most difficult part is the differential drive train. What do you think?

Here is mine. It is a JZR with a 650cc Honda CX engine.

Thanks, I have a bit over 17K in it.
You're so lucky. I'd love to build one. By any chance could you show the rear wheel drive set up? I've been trying to figure out the best way to build a differential

I will make some photos of that area in the next couple of days. The JZR uses the drive shaft from the Honda CX650 motorcycle and the rear brake and swing arm.

Thanks. I drew up a draft last night that would work in theory. It would be great to drive around in a sub 2k morgan. That drivetrain system is my only concern. Also if it's not too much trouble, could you give a rough measurement of the wheel span of the front axle?

I have not had time to make the new photos, yet but will in the next day or two. The front track is 54 inches and the wheelbase is 88 inches. The tires are Firestone car tires sized 155sr x 15 on 4 inch wide MGTD front wire wheels and the rear wheel is a Citroen 2CV outer rim with the Honda CX motorcycle inner part of the rear wheel. Tire on rear is same size as front.

That's fine. Whenever you get a chance. Those measurements help a lot. I got the go ahead to start design on our own morgan so hopefully we'll be able to actually build a sub 2k morgan in the near future.

That's a beautiful machine!
Now don't take this wrong, but I am just not seeing the "pull" to build or buy these trikes or the CanAms.
Why not just buy a convertible car? Sorry no judgments, just curious.
