Are the basic $140 Zeda 80 kits any good?

Theres a channel called "motored life" on YouTube he claims a stock Zeda 80 goes 40mph. I want to try using the 48mm iron sleeved cylinder someone on ebay is selling. All cylinders just have chinese chrome lining unless you get the sleeved ones. On Zeda's website they have them but they're really expensive.

Just a FYI, Zeda comes with an 11 tooth drive sprocket.

Zeda's customer service sucks but the quality is great.

Bicycle Motor Works sells the Zeda 80 as well. They are on Amazon, eBay and have their own site.
Is there something I should do different with the 11 tooth? I’m still learning about the 2 strokes

I’ve actually watched all his Zeda videos:rolleyes:
As far as iron sleeve I could replace my chrome lined one a few times for the price of an iron one. Personally it wouldn’t be worth it for me but let me know if you get one and it’s substantially better. Thanks!

The Zeda's dont come with an 11t output gear they are a 10t the same as all the others some do however come with a 36t drivin gear that part is true.Steel sleeved cylinders usually require a different piston and rings be used so added expence to go with all the work done to make it work,Then you can't use standerd replacement parts to service it's top end anymore witch is more expence and then it never ends LOL

I am not a fan of Robert Bianchi (owner of Zeda Motorsports). If he doesn’t like what’s posted on the FB support page, he will delete it. Integrity makes the damnedest judge. Tyranny has no place in the Republic~

I vote Fred from CR machine.

Please be aware that Zeda Motor Sports and Robert Bianchi have nothing to do with Zeda itself which is a manufacturer of Zeda Motors in China.
A reputable vendor of the Zeda line of motors can be found at bicycle-engines.com

Fred dosent seem to reply, I’ve tried contacting him a few time to buy heads

Must be something Robert is doing, or maybe just the latest feature Zeda has added. The Zeda Firestorms have the 10 tooth.
Wouldn't it be great if we could have both.

I could be wrong on this one, but doesn't the 47mm sleaved he is making use the stock parts? Also I watched the raffle the other day and their was a new player from Canada. Could it be?

Your right Gary the 47mm sleeved cylinder he's now doing may use the stock piston but different rings.I've not had one in my hand yet to confirm but it does look like it,all the others have a flat top.And no the Canadian John O'meara is not me I use the same name on F.B just with a S at the end not a Z LOL.I do know John and will be building him a race engine soon as he get's his Thunder Shark engine back from being dyno tested by Robert, the engine did not show well with the stock porting from GasBike. As for the sleeved jugs the flat top pistons that are used don't fit any of the heads currently available, the balence is way off with added reciprocating mass and on the dyno dont make really any more power than a good ported build,Also Robert uses the MZ 65 pipe on every engine and that doesn't really tell us much since they all come off the dyno with simular results LOL and his torque readings show the peak at the same or close to the peak hp rpm and that's impossible so he needs to learn how to use the dyno properly or really the current runs don't mean anything. It's a nice unit he aqiured and damb expensive,It's an inertia dyno with an electric starter and when he starts an engine on it with the starter the starter spins up the weighted wheel to around 1800 rpm and then the running engine keeps it spinning so alot of the initail load is lost,It has a brake system that is meant to stop or slow the wheel prior to a pull to get a full true pull but he doesn't do that he will rev it up some and take off more load then do the pull witch then has little accuracy,The highest hp reading so far was with a 50mm sleeved case reed and it only showed 7 hp and there is no way that it's only capable of 7 hp you can pull 7hp out of a p/p engine with porting and good set up easily so until he gets it figured out right now the numbers dont mean much!

Robert stole his Fire Breather header design and now Fred doesn't want to sell anything to anyone in the ZedaMafia or any one he doesn't know,He's getting parinoid about being ripped off and yet still refuses to patten his designs to protect himself from this type of s**t,And Robert at ZedaMotorsports thinks it's all in a day's bussiness and see's nothing wrong in his actions and is mocking Fred regularly on his page so Fred is being very selective now as to who he deals with.
