Alright guys, I have a problem that I've been incurring and need some help. For those that are running the 48cc 4 stroke HuaSheng motor with a NT or, any other aftemarket carburetor, what are you doing with the crankcase vent tube that normally connects to the back of the air filter on the stock carburetor? I want to put a NT carburetor on it, but it doesn't have the same part that'll allow me to vent into the air filter. The last time I had it disconnected from the air filter, the motor wouldn't start. I'm kinda stuck here.
I'm trying to figure out how to add a picture to this, but I can't figure it out.

Here's what I'm talking about.

Unless your stock carb is dead, don't switch to a stock NT, you'll be disappointed.

As for a place to plug in the CCV hose, Sick Bike Parts has a nice air cleaner with a CCV nipple to plug the hose into for $22 and I think you just don't use the conversion plate for an NT.

Really? My stock one was dead. So then I got the dellorto SHA, then I found out that was for a 2 stroke, got the NT with the 60-80 jets, a velocity stack, the uni foam air filter, and an extra stock one for good measure. I'm going to be super bummed if the NT doesn't work. Why do you say that with the NT I'll be disappointed?

I also just found that filter, thanks!

Hehehe, foam in front of a velocity stack, not that it matters because these engines don't generate much velocity in the carb anyway, and now you have some air cleaning ;-}

I mostly got it for my next build, so I figured what the hell, might as well put it in here now. Although, now I have another problem. I won't have enough clearance, and will need to get one of those offset intakes.

So, I found an oil catch can. The one I want is too big at 6" tall and 3.25 wide, so i might go with a smaller one made by Harley Davidson. It's a lot less ornate (and expensive at $80), but it should work just fine. Since my motor won't run with the stock carb, at stock settings/adjustments, with the crankcase hose disconnected (I think I'm running lean), that's one big reason why I chose the dellorto SHA carb, and got the 60-80 jets. Has anyone ran their bike with a oil catch can before? I know they're required on a lot of racing tracks for motorbikes.
