A lot of my customers use slime. I don't like it because I hate cleaning it out of their flat tires, and I use a electronic gauge so I don't want it screwing up my gauge. this is my answer to flat tires. proper inflation along with tire liners and good tires. CST Cyclops Tire - 26 x 2.4 BLK/BSK

So you like the cyclops, have you tried hookworms? Love my hookworms but been thinking about trying the cyclops out because of price. Just looking for a comparison.

Hookworms are probably a better tire than cyclops in quality, but at a price comparison for a good tire I think it's hard to beat cyclops.

A couple years ago it was hard to get Maxxis Hookworms, so some people switched to CST Cyclops for an alternative.

Doesn't hurt that they cost less than Hookworms and CST is a pretty good tire manufacturer - been making motorcycle tires since ~1967.

So, that valve-stem-ripping thing happened to me again this weekend. First flat I've had since I put my red CST C1218 tires on in 2012. The crazy thing is my rear tire is only 1/3 worn and the front looks great, both show faint cracking on sidewalls tho. I'm astounded that I can get over 5K miles out of a rear tire and it not being half worn. They don't ride that great and they are lousy for hard cornering tho. Great "truck" tire.

I think I'll be switching to tubeless using Stan's No Tubes. Despite this being the first ruined tube I've had since 2012, this is about the 10th tube the rear wheel has destroyed since 2010. Rear flats are such a drag.
