Hello everyone, I'm getting kinda desparate here. I've searched far and wide for a mag wheel that would work with the bike I'm motorizing.

I have a Roadmaster Granite Peak, and I'd like to find a mag wheel that I can attach my drive sprocket to directly, but it also HAS TO SUPPORT MY 6 GEAR SHIFTER.

I also would appreciate help finding compatible sprockets with this.

Thank you a lot you guys!

Any of the mags that MotoMagz just listed should work. Im using the 10 spoke mags with a 5 speed shimano freewheel. You may have to adjust the axle over. I had to get a longer axle and adjust it over to the left side of the bike

Never tried it myself, but apparently you can call Pacific Cycle directly and tell them you need wheels for a Mongoose Mack and they can sell you 26" Mags for like $35 a pop.

They are not the best quality, but at that price there aren't many better options on a budget.

I have two of the mongoose wheels, they are lighter made than the mags sold by bike vendors, the side where the sprocket mounts sticks out further making it hard to center the wheel and have sprocket alignment, but I did make one work on a large frame 29 in. bike.

im having that same problem but the opposite on the gasbike wheels the pedal crank sticks out farther than the single speed freewheel.

I used a single sprocket instead of the usual cassette of 5 or 6 and that helped me with one of them, some bikes have wider forks in the back, if I ever build another I will look for wider forks and front disc brakes.

Step 1. Remove old axle and bearings from rim.
Step 2. Install new longer axle that is threaded all the way so you can adjust axle from side to side.
Step 3. Cold set rear fork stays to accept new rear wheel wide.

Not rocket science.
It's all on sheldon brown.
