Firmstrong Bruiser Build

Im pretty new to this but I had a cheap kit on a cheaper mountain bike a few years back then sold it off when I moved out of state and couldn't legally ride it anymore. I'm back on friendly turf and wanted another bike. I've been looking at the Firmstrong Bruiser for the bike and a pk80 kit from ebay. Any suggestions for what speed bike I should get? I'm leaning towards at the 3 speed so I can use the gears without shifter or Jack shaft (unless I'm wrong and it wont work). It runs a shimano nexus internal 3 speed rear hub with a coaster break. The major issue I see is the coaster break. If I swapped out front fork and added a disc break up front would it be sufficient? I've found rear sprocket adapters for the hub and plan on a 40 or 44tooth sprocket.

Nice bike, should give you many miles of smiles. Before you pull the trigger on it get some opinions on the fitment of that kit. To me those down tubes have a lot of space in between them and may be a problem. Dunno about the quality of the kit, someone will give you the headsup or not here.

Get a Kent Bayside instead you got a lot more gears to deal with i built 2 of them they are good bikes make sure you get the cocoa one it has better fenders https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kent-26-...n-Cocoa-For-Height-Sizes-5-2-and-Up/533940582 the only bad thing on the bike are the brake pads are trash get new ones for this bike and it will be a solid bike it also runs a 1 inch hub so using the 1 inch adapter works great

That's the best kit I"ve seen on fleabay, its a cdh triple 40 pk80 and comes with the cdh66 pipe, cnc head and expansion chamber? I'm sure it would be a great kit. Not sure on fitment in the bike, never had a firmstrong.
Edit: That firmstrong looks great, Just needs a suspension fork and a front brake. Looks way better than box store bikes.

The Firmstrong 7 speed is a better choice IMO. The Kent has the old caliper brakes. The bruiser has the stretched frame and V brakes. For a personal bike you should go for the best features. Then for a little more you can get a real good bike in the Nirve B7.
