have I been mixing my gas wrong the whole time? I just read that its 16:1 for break in and 32:1 after, the manual states its 16 parts gas to 1 part oil, but i always thought it was 16 parts oil to 1 gallon of gas I just started to break in a new build and im running 32:1 because I thought that was more oil to gas ratio. Did I just ruin the engine? and on my bike with 20k miles I am mixing 16:1 am I flooding the engine?

My question specifically is did I ruin my engines?
Or can this be fixed after I read the stickied threads about this.

So how much oil did you add to 1 gallon of oil exactly? 16 parts of oil to 1 gallon of gas can be anything. Did you add 16 gallons of oil to 1 gallon of gas??

No lol... I added about 6 ounces to 1 gallon for break in and to my existing ride Ive been putting 2 ounces into .44 gallons

I think you'll be fine. Just be careful. If you don't see metal chips, it's fine, lol..

What you can do is take off the head, and look into the cylinder. If it's not scratched up, it's fine.

16:1 cheap dinosaur oil for break in or
24:1 fully synthetic oil for break in and
32:1 fully synthetic thereafter.
That's 32 parts of gasoline to 1 of oil.
Whether it has ruined the engine depends on whether you see damage to the cylinder chrome, or signs of excessive blow by.. Scorched oil marks on the sides of the piston and blown out crank oil seals.

you were helping me with the other problem, could this affect how fast my build is?

Well, your speed wasn't "affected", it was more than halved.
I guess blown out crank seals could do that but I think you would have noticed if that was the cause.. You can check for blown out crank seals simply by removing the clutch and mag covers after you have been running the engine and seeing if fuel pours out from inside the covers.

Try the correct length spark plug first (you still don't have a long enough plug from what I've seen) and see what happens then.
