Duck, Duck, Mongoose.

I have finally settled on my next bike. It's a steel frame Mongoose Creekside. This bikes sole purpose will be speed and R&D. I've had this bike for some time and have already replaced all the bearings with sealed cartridges in the headset and bottom bracket. It had brand new everything as I had just rebuilt the bike before I stumbled upon this motorized bicycle craze.
This bike is going to be the recipient of the Dio Reed Sleeved Stroker Engine I'm building. The Jack shaft kit has been ordered along with another Oko carb. The rear rack is going and the seat is getting lowered and pulled back.
Going get rid of the suspension forks and go with a set of 30" triple trees forks with clip on bars. I'm still undecided about the gas tank but I'm sure I'll think of something and change my mind 10 times long before then. This build isnt in a rush to finish as I still have really never finished the Rambler yet and need to finish up the lighting system I have for it. And im also getting married for the first time in October and I have lots to do before the wedding. I will however keep the build updated as it progresses.

U guys really are a prize. Good luck. Dont call an electrician when your power goes out. Call trump. LoL mechanics? Sure. Mechanic to what? Only small engines? LoL. U guys have no clue.
For the record. One of you non mentionable well known members refered me to a site I got my 66cc from. The stupid fkrs cross threaded a screw on the manifold. Leaks in engine will never run. Thanks for your useless help. Learn more doing it myself. By myself.
Enjoy!

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. We have no clue because you gave no clue other than it ran for 12 miles. You honestly think the 4yr old in China who put your high tech precision made chinesium engine gives a f*** that he crossed threaded a bolt in your engine. You'll be lucky if that's the only one he did. Vendors don't build these, Chinese children do. That's why you should take it apart and go over it before you use it. You didn't and now we're the ones with out a clue. Hope your crotch gets infested with the fleas of a thousand camels.
Cheers.

So I've slowly been making progress on the bike with my wedding fast approaching I haven had alot of time for working on the bike.
I got my wheels put together from a local bike shop. A very funny story to go along with the wheels. When I got there to pick them up the owner had just caught a guy shoplifting and had him ziptied to the bike rack in the store while we were waiting for the cops to arrive. He wouldn't let me in the store until the cops arrived but let me take the old Pennyfarthing for a test ride. The front wheel was almost as tall as I am and a beast to ride. You have to correct the steering with every pedal stroke as pedaling forces the wheel to turn left or right so you're always counter steering with the bars. Lol I didnt wipe out but didnt get far either. It was a fun experience that's for sure, and to think they pedaled them down cobble stone roads a hundred years ago.
The cops came and got the thief and I got my wheels. Yay!!!!
So far I had to modify the engine to get it to fit and change the mounts so the mounts are done and same with the jackshaft wouldn't fit so I made one of those as well. Also made some gussets for support and I cut the rear dropouts off the west coast chopper bike and welded them onto the goose. They were almost a perfect fit.
I still have some body work to do to the frame and weld some tabs to mount the tank and attach the seat pan for the springer seat and some tabs for signal and tail lights. After the wedding I will have more time to buckle down and get it together. Hopefully the winter won't be s**tty and I'll be able to get the bike out for a test ride before spring.

That's gonna be one fast machine. With the pan seat back over the tire that front wheel is going to last forever. When it's done you'll be able to make it point at the clouds pretty easy.

Thanks gary, I think a 29er on the front would look good but im already committed to the 26.
It should be a screamer that's for sure. Forgot to mention I ordered a 6Sigma nitrous kit for it. It's either gonna go like hell or explode all over the road lol.

Well the wedding is over and I've officially been married for just about 2 weeks now.
The bike is starting to come together. I need to weld on some caliper brackets and mount the brakes and install brake and shifter and clutch cables. I also need to hide the wiring for the lights and make a box to hide the batteries and fuse panel and flashers and other electrical gear. And I need to make a new stinger for the pipe and reroute it in a different direction. Then tear it all down and paint before final assembly.
Now that the wedding is over I will have alot more time to dedicate to building this bike and then redoing the Rambler before spring.
The nitrous kit arrived last month as well however I don't think it will be tested until this engine gets a few runs in.
Here are a few pics of my progress. Nothing is really final yet.
