49cc huasheng problem . Please help

Hi guys I just finished building a cruiser with the 142f 49cc huasheng and I'm having an issue . When I first got the bike together and went and rode it and was only getting 20 mph out of it and it seemed sluggish and held back . I played with the alignment of motor sprocket and rear sprocket and it seemed problem was fixed . Throttle response and top speed was at 30 mph .well I rode it over some bumps and now I'm bad down to 20 mph . But this time the motor sounds different . Just sounds restricted and has noticable powerless , throttle response and lagging top speed . I checked all my alignments thinking it jared lose but it hasn't . Any ideas ? Could something in the carb been Jarred lose ? Idk I'm stumped

you could have flooded the intake with fuel (i have had this happen to me a few times)
and that would make it run rich and seen sluggish.

let it cool down, start it up, then CLOSE the fuel valve, start riding it and you will feel it start to gain speed, then it will drop off,
at that point TURN ON the fuel valve and that should hopefully fix it.

also, check the oil level, you could of overfilled it and now its flooding the engine crank (also a good idea to change the oil after 2 tanks of fuel for break in, i run full synthetic 10w30 oil in my bike, the Walmart stuff is fine)
 
I'm surprised he reached 30 mph, sprockets probably the answer. W/a 1-1/8th roller on a FD 22/21 mph was tops w/a rev limiter.
 
I had a similar problem with mine, it turned out to be that I had the choke on. Super sluggish and low top speed for obvious reasons. I don't know about you, it seems like it does have more to do with the sprocket.
The best advice I've gotten for the rear sprocket is tighten them down really far. ~12 ft. lbs is recommended. Might need to buy some new bolts as the kit ones strip quick.

ive clocked mine in at 28mph, they do have a cdi govener (it will do 28, up hill, down hill, flats all day)

i think he might have had a slight edge as his motors brand new
 
Those fuel filters are the wrong one that come with the kit , use the ones that are cone shaped and don't have paper looking material in them ,there fine for a while but fuel will have hard time flowing down.

Your a little "tardy to the party" on this thread...The last time anyone replied to it was two years ago...Im sure it is either rectifed or the bike is long gone now.

Ps...All of these threads as well as the individual posts have the dates stamped right on them so you can look for that in future...DAMIEN

2019... And it's parked because the fuel filter was upside down...
