Stupid idea for a gas tank trailer

So, how stupid would it be for me to put a typical 5 gallon gas tank onto a cheap cargo trailer with fuel lines connecting it to an engine?
I don't see the need to hook up the tank, just take it with you and refill every now and then. It sounds amazing, travelling very far without even stopping at a station. At that point you would need to bring all your tools with you. I've been planning to do a mini-version of this, bringing a cabellas bag on the back of my bike(if that storage rack would ever ship) and putting a water bottle full of fuel in there for emergency, some small tools, spare parts, maybe some food. Sounds like a lot of fun

This was an old build now 2 years old, it no longer exists but The trailer still remains, but i removed the 3rd wheel so its shorter. Its easier to maneuver without the 3rd wheel.

Cool. What kind of stuff did you carry and how far did you go?
i bought a miter saw with it once. i once was going to load a 4 cubic foot cement mixer that i got of craigslist on it but the guy was nice and put it in his truck. I loaded a 4x6 metal cutting bandsaw on it. Top distance was 40 miles round trip with trailer..... I unbolted it and put it on the train once.

Could always go to salvage yards and get a 2 gallon flat tank to go on the back rack.

I used a 1 gallon tank from a riding lawnmower at the junk yard with the fuel gauge :D
