Just here for some pointers for where I should go and hopefully not break the bank.

Where I'm at now-

1st time builder had a Roadmaster granite peak, bought a 80cc motor(bone stock China with nt carb for like 85 off ebay) bolted it on in 6 hours(lack of instructions and the vary tight fit to blame)

Put 100 miles into, currently the drive wheel is so out of true I can't get it back, and the bearing seems to be shot(feels like 1/8th inch of play radially, maybe a bit less but it's dieing) everything is holding but needs to be replaced. I have been keeping up with tightening the ragdoll so it's not at risk, my lack of tightening bolts after screwing with the motor has made me lose 1 clutch cover screw and 1 exust screw(currently using one of the other clutch cover screws to take the place of it so only 3 for the clutch cover, seems fine since it's not a load bearing part). Have a bunch of my hex socket bots ordered should be hear anyday.

So.... I need to upgrade the wheels(and probably the frame down the line but one piece at a time hopefully I can keep using parts to keep it cheap)I'm figuring mag wheels are probably my best bet but want to keep the price down, and need to know things like compatibility,

All the mag wheels I can find seem to use cassettes(not that they say, but that's what the pic look like), what speeds do they support? 1,3,6,7?

are there mags that can take both disk and v brakes?(engine braking is fine but I want redundancy)

compatibilty with a frame made for standard 2.125 tires.

off of the wheels

so the frame dealing with everything so far, but I don't like how it lines up, how the motor has to mount and how tight it is,

I want to keep the total for the bike under 400 not including what I currently have,

So options

Is it worth buying one of the built-in gas tank frames or buying the bike outright cheapest I can find for the full bike sans motor is 450-500, frame can be had for 150 and wheels for 110 so 260, what's the cheapest cost for all other hardware.

Open to other ideas this is just what I've got in my head atm.

Welcome to the forum. The motorized mag wheels can use a multispeed freewheel on them but you'll need to get a longer axle if that's the route you're going. I used a 5 speed freewheel on mine powered thru a jackshaft. The benefit of using a motorized bike frame is everything fits better because it was designed for all the motorized bike parts so fitment is much better however using a mountainbike or cruiser bike makes it a one of a kind and all yours. There are benefits to both. The most important part of any build is the wheels its what between you and the road. Dont cheap out on wheels, dont use coaster brakes and make sure the bearings are properly lubricated and the preload is adjusted properly.

If I were you I would get a craigslist bike. They may be old, but with research into the model you can see their original cost and how nice they were, and usually, still are. You don't even need to be lucky, people sell really good bikes for $20-100. I have a steel framed bike I know is not gonna brake, made in US, got for 60. But it's 30 years old. What I'm saying here is old crap is better than cheap crap, and often cheaper than cheap crap. Ironic.

Tldr: say some useful stuff the just ramble

Thanks for the replys, my post was held up in review so long I stopped checking, lol,
Anyways quick update ragdoll lost a bolt sheared off, replace with a 1/4" since it was the closest imperial bolt seems fine, but these cheap fasteners are sketchy

Anyways...
got most of the info I wanted, probably gonna go with the mag wheels, but have heard issues where they crack, the bearings go out or the sidewall busts, are such issues common? I can't think of a single reason for them to be weaker then a standard spoked bicycle rim, but just wondering outside of fabing my own tire is their anything safer then mags?

As far as the frame goes kinda hard to shop anywhere at the moment, cuz virus.... And Walmart doesn't have ANY adult bikes in stock anyways at all 4 locations I can get to assume they just aren't supplying them atm, probably Corona related cuz I've never seen that outside of holiday, on top of the fact I'm not having luck on Craiglist or FB market place either, almost nothing to look at and if it's not a cheap Walmart bike left outside, it's a expensive euro bike or kids crap. Either way the current frame is fine structure wise and might even be ok if I offset the carb, but still looking into some form of cruiser, the mountain bikes fine but had to flip the universal adapter to get it far back enough and it doesn't like to be 100% straight(looks like the bolt weren't drilled straight from the factory), it's 99% good enough but it's caused the chain ride the edge of the teeth abit on the motor, probably just get a #41 chain and the extra width will fix the issue. Idk probably make a new thread after a screw with it a bit more and post pics and vid to see what needs to be fixed, I'm a computer person not really a engine nerd so if it was any more complicated I probably wouldn't be able to get my head around all of it, luck these things are about as simplistic as a motor can be.

Well I've been rambling

If you don't want to spend that much money for the Mag wheels. I would look for a used wheel on craigslist and then get a sprocket adapter to fit it like one of these-----> https://www.ebay.com/itm/32T-40T-Sp...hash=item3d889aec2b:m:mMpHvbvTPn9V362NoRJAisA
While a sprocket adapter might be a good option in some cases, mags seem to go around 100, and a sprocket adapter is about 35, add In that I probably want to change out my front wheel as well(the side load when turning isn't helping it stay true, WAY BETTER then the back but sketchy none the less) I have to find wheels for under 60$ to break even. 30 for it to even make sense and even still 40$ seems worth going to a soldi wheel vs 60 for a set and adapter, I think it would have made sense when I fist got the bike but the tires are shot and it's hard to buy a wheel worth using for that price cuz they aren't worth selling, good wheel cost to much and the cheap one come with the bike, honestly I think I just crapped out on this bike to begin with cuz the rims bent the fist day I had it over a pothole trued them back but this was before the motor

I have heard the don't use coaster brakes before, I assume they just sent able to fight the motor and burn out? Normally they just lock the tire with no motor and it's the tread that takes the beating not the brake, I assume they would be fine if we're very good on using the clutch and engine braking to take the load off, but crap for emergency stops where you might miss the clutch or fumble, but any issues with having them tandem with rim or disk brakes, seems to me redundancy wouldn't hurt and rear wheel braking is more controlled if not a bit slower the front wheel.

You can buy mags with the adapter and disc brake installed already / w disc brake calipers , I don't recommend bike berry for alot of things , but I have thee spoke mags that I bought from them , zero problems with chain issues , I do replace brake pads every 1/12 months , about 5 bucks a pair. They were like $130 when I bought last year . Don't know what they run now , maybe 150 far a pair
