I know Whizzers are supposed to have a bent seat post, but I hit a bump in the road yesterday and my seat went flying up.... This isn't normal, right? View attachment 96960
I bought this Chromoly seatpost from Redline 15 years ago. Looks like their not available any more .
There are many other brands of Chromoly Laid Back Seatposts available on line ya just gotta look.
Make sue the listing says Chromoly or Chrmo
Though you can buy higher quality steel post. The bent post tends to suggest you're too big for the frame size. Here's a bicycle frame size calculator that can let you know the general area you need in a bicycle frame size for your particular body build.
unohaguy rides a Whizzer Motorbike, he ain't gonna switch frames.
While I guess frame size might matter. A bent seat post is just a crappy steel seat post. I used to bend seatposts as a kid BMX riding.
Now I weight 2 times as much and a Chromoly laid back seatpost don't bend. But the frame side rails cracked by the seatpost and I had to Welderup. A laid back seatpost puts more stress on the frame. But it took 13 years and 33,333 miles until my frame cracked.
