Carburetor problems

Have you tested the spark yet before even considering the CDI, very simple to do.

just pull out the spark plug...re-connect the sparkplug boot to plug, engage the clutch and by hand, spin the pedals and see if you can see spark...if you can, i would be looking for another problem, if not, than CDI/coil is where i would look.

Very light not much

Definitely take the head off and look at everything. If there's something wrong, you'll be able to tell. The piston rings have to be on right and in good shape. The piston itself should not be cracked. The cylinder walls should not be all scratched and chipped. Clean up the ports for any burrs sticking out. All mating surfaces (cyIinder deck, gasket, and head) need to be perfectly flat. The head gasket should be replaced unless you have a copper one, those I've been told can last 3-4 times taking the head off before replacing them if you clean them right. Make sure your piston's top dead center is very very close to the height of the cylinder. Make sure you don't have the wrong piston. There's an A piston and B piston.

Compression at 49 p.s.i. is way too low! These engines come with 160 + p.s.i. and running it out of gas CAN do damage because as it runs low just before it's completely out it runs lean which causes more heat and expansion of the piston and rings, then it's also not got enough oil as it's leaning out which cause's more wear on an engine that all ready is wearing out from a years constant use,so yes that could have greatly contributed to it's demise.A new top end will have back on the road pretty cheaply and not that hard to do!

I just had a engine from a friend a month ago . He told me it would start but it would run for 5 minutes and die . It would start right back and die . Let it cool off a couple hours, run for 5 die .So I would agree with Street Ryderz too. Cracked cylinder very small crack at that.

Isecond What street rider said. Just have to take your jug off to measure your piston type
Okay I'm going to go ahead and buy a new piston and the rings and gasket should I go ahead and replace my CDI too because then that's basically everything's replaced.getting frustrated with it so I figured I'm just going to replace everything.
