what do you guys think about predator motors?

hey fellas ...i have seen a few videos on youtube ..with bikes that have 79cc 4 stroke 3 hp predator motors from habor freight on them and also some with 212cc and 6.5 hp...what do you guys thunk of them ... pros .?.......cons?.......attack the the topic an which way your desire guys ..just would like some insight ..im new to motored bikes...thanks again

The biggest con is the width of the motor.

yes i have noticed chainlube ...the pedals have to be extended and such ...ever rode or seen one in person ?

Nope! I have a couple mini-bikes though. Don't need no stinking pedals on a 196cc.

The pros outweigh the cons.

Cheap price and good availability, well-known vendor with warranty, excellent aftermarket parts availability.

The motor width issue is the same with the Honda GX200 and all 212cc clones.

I removed my pull start, so it narrowed almost an inch.

The 212 Predator was out of stock when I was shopping for one, so I bought a 212 Lifan engine.

I don't see any issues, when comparing the Predator 212 engine with the other 212 clones.

One is like a Coleman, Baja 200, the other is a antique, with full suspension. The 196 is too much for it, can't keep the front wheel down.

Lol..thats alot of power..I know the baja 200 ..they have the lights and comfy seats..the antique one is probably similar to the mancos..I have an idea of what you got ..pretty cool stuff..

lol..i dont yet have any motorized toys darwin ...im just a fan of them.. but usually people use the centrifugal..as a basic ..and the cvt as the upgraded transmission..
