Isn't pretty but serves its purpose very well :)

that would be pretty cool :)
Supposedly the Tadpoles have better speed and range for a given wattage and amp/hr set-up. plus- they look pretty comfortable! BUT... Experience has shown me that Cops pretty much ignore bicycles vs. other creations.
(I'm thinking winning the PowerBall is the only way that I'm going to be able to research the matter!)

There is a member on another forum and here i believe that is building or has built one of those Tadpole bikes electrified and it looks sweet.

You're right, awesome read. Would love to assemble or find a Tadpole Style E-bike. A 26" Hub Motor in back, a pair of 20" in front, no pedals- just a footrest. I know that violates the "bicycle-thing", but most small-vehicle regulatory laws are arbitrary and without logic. I've sort of looked into getting some sort of go-kart front axle and spindle set as a starting point, since the rest of the frame is easy. As it turns out, the axle/spindle set-ups are pretty pricey for my budget. I had at one time, cobbled together a trike, that used two 16" wheel-barrow wheels and the front of a 27 1/4" 10 speed bike for the front. It looked like a really UGLY Big-Wheel, but it had amazing rolling resistance (or lack of) and performed decently with just a Briggs 3hp on it. BUT, the cops were all over it like stink on....

...someday!

So i was at the bike shop yesterday when this lady came in and asked the owner to sell her late husbands ebike that he built.

When she left i took a look here is what it was:

The bike is a 2005 specialized sirrus with the price reciept in the rack bag of $599.00 plus the tax.
Then the 8fun bafang 750 watt ebike kit with the batery of 48v 11.6ah at another $328 plus the tax.

Then the guy upgraded most all the other parts including rims and tires.

has the little skinny tires.

Ok so i offered him $275.00 for it and he took it. I charged the battery which hadnt been used since 2017 and it hold a charge so i rode it for about 12 miles round trip. Seemed to be ok.

I likie it but its not me old hub drive beast lol

One of the things that i do like is i absolutely have to peddle..well not really there is a thumb throttle lol
But this is really an exercise getting bike, unlike me hub drive.

Sort of liking it more i ride it though.

Already had an offer this morning of $950.00 so i took the guys number and may cal him next week if i decide to sell it..
Either way....exercise more with this one or get some good cash back from it :D

Ride Safe you crazy mugs!
