The Predator 79cc 3HP engines are a HONDA 160 GX clone, but because of the electric start flywheel mounting center hole is tapered differently on a 160/200 GX engine than the PREDATOR 79cc,that different flywheel taper design pretty much shoots the interchangeablity of the electric start flywheel engine clones out of the water! However, there is more than one way to get around that PREDATOR 79cc 3HP to not have a 12vDC battery powered electric start flywheel, certain vintage 3.75HP old Briggs & Stratton horizontal shaft engines did have electric start😁,so the question is, will a Briggs 3.75 HP electric start flywheel taper hole fit on a modern 3.75HP PREDATOR 79cc engine? I do have one of those vintage 1960s to 70s Briggs 3.5hp non electric start engines that still runs like new😎,maybe a member on this MotorBike Forum can do a bit of tinkering around between the vintage 79cc Briggs that had an electric start-the 3.75HP Briggs if convert the HP to cc,equals 79cc like the Predator 79cc and vice versa) and do a cross reference on the flywheel taper bore mounting hole on the PREDATOR 79cc if can mount the Briggs 3.5hp electric start flywheel with the matching electric start motor to fit onto a 79cc Predator engine. If an older Briggs 3.5hp electric start flywheel taper does fit a 79c PREDATOR engine...YAAAAAAAY!! People has been trying for the few years since the PREDATOR 79cc been out on the market to find an electric battery powered starter flywheel kit to fit that PREDATOR 79cc engine! I need that electric start on my PREDATOR 79cc when I mount that PREDATOR 79cc as a rear engine on the back of my full suspension mountain bike.

The India Honda in Mark's link above is OHV, same as the Pred.
The web page writers tripped me up... Ad copy says ohc in a couple places, but also says ohv. I just assumed that since both are accurate with an overhead cam location that it wasn't an error. Ahhh well, assumptions bite . Lol

The predator 79 is a spittin image of the yamaha tho. I had one of them in a genset.

If you get into a small Honda GC, you'll get OHC. Like a 120cc.
