Smolik minarelli hybrid motorized bicycle kit.

I put the piston at bdc made a mark, tdc made a mark. Pulled the cylinder off and measured and got 38mm.
Is this a accurate way to measure Stroke?
The guy from ebay is swearing up and down this is from the zeda factory and is genuine.
I hate to cost him $ for a mistake I'm posable making. I measured it this way dive times second guessing myself. Like I said earlier
, I'm still learning and do make mistakes

Personally, i trust nothing from e-bay...What i do know is I had ordered my Zeda 80 from bicycle-engines.com a well known and trusted Zeda dealer and all boxes, packing materials, labels, etc. were clearly marked by Zeda as being from them complete will instruction manual enclosed...Was yours???...DAMIEN

No instruction manual and I don't see any markings that say zeda.
I know u referred me to bicycle engines.com and I went with ebay to save $40 on shipping. I'm to old to be falling for these tricks. Lol
Where is your engine marked and would u mind sending me pic when u can please.
He said he was gonna send me a return label, but put a claim in for me to pay shipping wich isn't right if it's not the right engine. Maybe the pic of yours in comparison to mine might help my case.
Never ebay again when athantisity is amost!!!
I'm gonna order from bicycle engines.com today.
Now that the sale is over.
Snowball effect
Thanks D

To my knowledge, there is nothing on the Zeda motors themselve marked to clearly indicate the brand, just the manufactuer's factory packaging, but knowing your 38mm measurement which i think is accurate, it won't be a true Zeda that you have there, just a run of the mill PK80...I have the manuals for Zeda in PDF format here so you can just click on them and they will automatically download for you so you can read them at your leisure...One is the installation manual the second is the technical comparison manual of how to see and know the differences between the PK80, GT5, and Zeda 80 motors...DAMIEN

A very rough rough out on the jog pipe. Far as I can go until the engine is in the frame. Will have move the chamber in a good bit but its not a difficult mod. Removing the brackets from the thin chamber seemed more of a challenge.
When doing a jog pipe conversion, is it important to keep the primary length roughly the same??

Thank you

Im keeping the overall length as close to original as possible. So far its only lost a 1/4”. Will loose more Im sure
to get it tucked in. Hard pipe to fit close.

my Zeda likewise came from bicycle engines.com. Its a long rod 40. If you only have a 38 mm stroke you still maybe good if its a long rod and use the 38mm spacer, Im thinking. There are a bunch of combos Im guessing on engine geometry. Basically I think there are 2 rods (commonly) a 115 mm and a 110mm these can be used on different strokes with different pistons. My Pk80 didnt work as its a 40mm stroke but a short rod. Hit the crank at bdc and came up short at the top even though its a 40. Measure your rod length. Pull the jug, its no big deal, just easy on the base gasket. If its a short rod 38 you dont have a prayer of using it.

Folks more learned on these engine geometries chime in and correct as necessary.

Already have as regards the technical manual on how to tell the difference between them on my post to Bizal...DAMIEN

Ps...I only use Zeda at this time and only deal with a reputable Zeda dealer as well, i do not consider e-bay as reputable as it can be just anywho you are dealing with.

Question for Street Ryderz

I have Gordon Jennings book that I have read a zillion times. I decided a long time ago expansion chambers
are a magic quantity I didnt want to delve to heavily in. So I dont. I understand the theory, but thats as far as I go.

My question is, while using this cheap “pipe”, I need to muffle it so I followed the trend to weld a gutted stock muffler
to it. Got it running pretty good. In an effort to get the oily exhaust away from the bike I added an extension. Immediately I noticed a change. So figuring it to be some what tunable I made a slip joint extension and experimented. Shorter reved higher longer better bottom. I prefer better low to mid than a wild top. You can see how long the extension is. This set up is very pleasing to use. I have to ride a mile of rough gravel road to get off our
island. The tractability is excellent. Still revs pretty well though not as high as with the shorter pipe.

Do you think the MZ65 would respond in a similar way?
Makes sense, adding the stock muffler even gutted adds back pressure and the extension also adds to that. The Mz will do the same thing yes just having a little less effect.

The rod should be marked Zeda 80 or zm 40mm and it's length from center to center is 89mm.
