Hey guys! I am new to building bikes. I just setup my first build. A Zeda 80. Everything was going good until I stopped to adjust the brakes. When I started it back up the clutch broke thru the cover. I reinstalled the clutch and it doesn’t engage. It spins freely with no compression. Any ideas on how to fix the problem. Thanks!

It looks obvious to me...The "flower nut" that holds the pressure plate in place has backed off causing it to rip through the cover.

The reason why the nut backed off is also obvious to me...do you see that little screw on the left side of that nut...it is riding on a high spot of that nut...its supposed to be in the recessed area of that nut in between two high spots in order to stop the flower nut from backing off in the first place...you will now have to readjust the pressure on the plate by tightening it up again, (remove that screw first and replace if necessary, it may be damaged), being sure that the pressure plate will be only a sixteenth of an inch away from the clutch pads which reside underneath...once this is done, make sure to reinsert that little screw, (or its replacement), back into its hole in between two of those high points in the recess...DAMIEN

I setup the flower not as you described but it still isn’t engaging.

The little screw on the flower nut should be in one of those notches, that's what the notches are for, to keep the flower nut from backing out.
