okay hear me out.. another one of my silly ideas, would it be possible to frame mount a bog standard 4 stroke engine onto a women's frame?.
some of these crusier styles just look like they have the top tube completely removed

im trying to make a road legal motorized bike because i want to have a one of a kind vehicle and i dont just want a moped lol.

but any thoughts on if this sort of thing would work?

You definitely don't need the cross bar for a motorized bike, if you're looking to stay under 50 kph then that would work fine.
It would cool too, kind of vintage.

The challenge I see is coming up with a engine mounting plate. Your bike looks like an aluminum frame and the front tube is not round. The mounting plate that comes in a kit is designed for round tubes. I think it would be possible to fabricate a custom piece to fit between the front of the engine mount and the oblong diameter frame tube. The only other possibility would be to fabricate an aluminum engine mounting plate and have it tig welded between the two tubes. You will obviously have to use a seat post mounted fuel tank or mount a square Honda tank on a rear rack.

As far as the mounting goes, the U-bolt from a good size muffler clamp squeezed together in a vice will replace the kit U-bolt.

A rack mounted 196 4t tank from a Honda is an excellent idea.

The engine mounting will take some fab work, dont think it would be hard thou. He could also make a threaded turnbuckle setup & go from head tube to seat tube for extra support & also have a place to mount gas tank. I think that would look cool!

Every CG and 4t kit has two mounting points, one on each down tube. The only issue is the fuel cell, I put the tank on a rack when I built the Auto-Mini.
