are the cdh ones any good?

So theres a lot of these chinese rims out there , ive heard lots of stories of them cracking/breaking apart, so i assume some really dont take impacts well.
OR are people better off with heavy gauge double walled spoked rims?

Anybody have good sources of heavy duty double wall rims w/ disk brakes for 26" incher cruiser? . im not sure where to look. Just know it needs to be beefy..

Any recommended sources for either. I am not familiar with either rims higher end rims so. Wanting to have better tires/rim for the higher torque engine.

Does anyone have experience with both sorts of heavy duty rims on the bigger motors? And do you recommend one over the other?
thanks

Welcome to MotoredBikes :). You don't want the 6 spoke mag rims they are known to crack.
You're better off going with the 3 spoke mag rims..... Others will chime-in and tell you more.

If you want a heavy duty double wall rim, with 12gauge spokes set up for disc brake
Take a look at Grubee hd wheel at grubee inc .com. they make it in single speed or 7speed setup.

I can get you pics of mine if need be. I got the grubee HD rear wheel on my beach cruiser.

I know your looking for something "super duper" etc. but i can only tell you what im using for mags and disk brakes etc, and it works fine for me...Here they are as well as some of the other things you will need along with them to attach them to your bike.

And two of these, one for each wheel:

Freewheel sprocket for the pedal side of things:
Be aware that its a 22 tooth sprocket that maybe a larger diameter pedal sprocket than what you previously had and may require lengthening the chain:

Dual pull brake lever for the disk brakes since you already have clutch lever on the left side:
Get the brake cables from a local bicycle repair shop.

And lastly, my bike with the finished product for you to see...DAMIEN

Lol! Yes of course we are. I also built my own rear caliper bracket, cause the china ones are oh so great! & kept bending.

You beat me too it. Them clamps are the stainless steel ones off of amazon. Heres my caliper bracket made out of 1/4" stainless steel plate. Ain't going to bend that one & if it does its destroying the bike frame.
