Died&wont start

If you pull plug it spins over just fine. I think maybe it's something going on with pulse port to carb. I'll look at it 2mrow. Lol, I got 3 more new carbs to pick from.

The pulse port needs a clear path to the intake, or the diaphragm won't pump the fuel. In your old picture of the intake manifold, it was just a hole, there was no port there.

I would like to mention, pull the diaphragm off, be careful, don't break the gasket. Take the metering needle out, it could pick up a little bit a grit or sludge from the tank. That would let it start and idle but as soon as you open the throttle the dirt gets sucked back into the tiny pore.

One day mine wouldn't start. Not enough gas in the tank. Another time, petcock was closed. 😁 I sometimes feel I need a starting checklist like when they used to start bi-planes.

I rode the bike over 200 miles with that pulse port setup of mine like that. Could a crank seal be weak not allowing enough pulse to operate the fuel pump?

Ok everyone idk what was or is going on, but this morning I put some mixed gas in a squirt bottle & gave a couple squirts in carb. The bike fired up & ran for a bit a died. Gave it a another squirt of fuel, the bike started & ran this time just fine. On occasion I got to give it a primer squirt of fuel to start, but then it's fine & it dont miss a lick. I dont know if I had a air block in fuel line or the fuel pump of carb, causing it not to start. Do any of you guys got a idea why I would have to give it a primer shot of fuel to start from time to time?

I think chainlube is right. Check the pump and needle in the carb. Did you retune after break in? I usually have to turn in on the adjust after the rings seat.

I did do what chainlube mentioned, I also adjusted fuel pump control lever height as well, but didn't help at that time. So I put another new carb on there with the same end results, bike wouldn't start, until I gave it a primer shot of fuel. Now this morning with new carb it hasn't messed up yet. For troubleshooting purposes, do you think I should try the old carb & see what happens? I'm one them that would like to know what the true issue was.
