Forum Post Idea For Someone - Screw & Bolt Thread Sizes

If you work with the guys I do, you use small words. lol. I call it the reader, because they say " Well it reads the threads." lol. I didn't hire them, but I have to deal with them.
Yah i have worked with some of "them" too lmao. Never made it where I did with small words lol. Lots of r&d and protoyping etc.

Its also called a thread pitch gauge if u are googling...
Thanks. I used to be a machinist. Never had my own set but I've used them. Thing is, I've already spent tons of money on this thing. The stuff that didn't turn out is already a small fortune. I'm on my 4th intake, I've bought 415H chain that I replaced with a $63.00 Shadow Conspiracy chain for the right side shift kit, replacement fuel line, a longer clutch cable, tools that I didn't have, ... Spending money on a thread gauge set is going to have to go into the "unnecessary luxury" column. 😄

I won't tell you how much I have spent on this hobby. LMFAO, I could feed a small country though.

My carb measured
We already went through all of this. You asked me for measurements. It won't fit.
1.5 inches. It will fit. You're just thinking im a yard farmer and ignore what I say. It's ok, im used to people doing things the hard way. Gives me entertainment, and I enjoy watching people struggle after being informed of an easier way. Lol.

I take my bolts and nuts to the hardware store where they have an identifier board. They also have an excellent assortment of metric cap screws and acorn nuts. Hopefully you have a decent hardware store near you.

I bet a person could find a thread comparison gauge online, print it to the right scale on paper and then use a magnifying glass to check the threads against a bolt... just a thought.
