I've been looking for a board tracker style frame & found this bike near by me for sale. It's a 26" Firestone Pilot skip tooth, can anyone date this bike? & give me a idea what it's worth? I havent contacted the seller yet on price. Any antique bicycle guru's on forum that can help.

Murray 1947 not complete, Great project for a Motorbike

People are asking $200 - $250 for the frame w/forks and that's top $

But to tell ya the truth if that bike as is was rebuilt with repop parts it would be worth $250
I looked one up and it sold for $250 The seller was a fair man
I also looked up one in complete original used working condition and they were asking $600
I also looked up the girls bike in complete original used working beautiful condition and it sold for $300
I also saw a nice complete one with a Whizzer motor on it and it sold for $1,200

I think your looking at a $100 bicycle That would be a fair price

Thanks Wrench, I appreciate it. What feature on the bike gives away the year of bike. The head badge or the skip tooth chain? Also what would have been the last year skip tooth chain & sprockets were used?

I live around a lot of old farms.... I stop in and ask if I could look around for old bicycles...
I haven't found any so far... But I'll keep looking. :)

Yeah I've seen people give astronomical prices for a head badge, but if your restoring a bike & that's the 1 finishing piece you need, it's really priceless. Lol I know if I was missing the head badge on a bike I'd give a over extended price for it.
