Engine Trouble Low compression

Yeah your head gasket was leaking next to the 2 cylinder head studs, for sure. Also your cylinder looks like it snagged a ring on the 1 transfer port side, or lost a wrist pin clip.

Are you tightening your cylinder head down in a X pattern? When torquing?

Yep it's leaking on the corners near the studs for sure. I do tighten them in an X pattern, going around several times. I wouldn't be surprised if the ring snagged on something. When I had the cylinder off the edges of the transfer ports were sharp as hell. I tried to smooth them down a bit but too little too late probably. It seems I'll need to get a new cylinder, I don't think I can do much with this one. I already ordered a new piston kit and it did come configured correctly. I also got 2 sets of everything except a piston, which was a nice surprise. 😀

Do you think it's running rich?

It's not teflon, it's permatex thread sealant. I do it because I reuse my plugs and they leak a bit. I didn't know if it would work but it seems to be holding up nicely. In case you couldn't tell, I don't like my engine leaking, lol.

Ok no problem, I couldn't tell from picture, your good.

Are you using the acorn nuts still? To bolt cylinder head down with? Or regular hex nuts?

I use coupler nuts, long long coupler nuts. Removes a little bit more heat and easy to get at with a wrench, even on the tall heads.
I wish I had some of those, normal nuts are a pain to get on the stud.
