What up? I’m new to this forum and somewhat new to motorized bikes. I mean I’ve been around the block with 5th scale RC 2 strokes and built a few motorcycles so I’m no stranger to knowing my way around engines. But this is my first 49cc huashen I’m guessing cheap Chinese crap??

Anyway it runs and I want to do some upgrades exhaust,/carb, air filter, anything I can do to get this thing to run better.

My question is I got it fired up and running but it seems to be leaking oil out an engine hole ( overflow ?? ). I’m assuming this may have something to do with there being to much oil in the engine? At least it’s not leaking out the carburetor! Ha..

Anyhow be interested in learning more about this little guy and what I can do to get the most out of it. Not looking to break any land records but into hop ups and the best Exhaust card I can put on this thing any feedback/ideas/advise would be much appreciated thanks

Remove the governor, better air filter, different springs in the clutch. A few things you can look at.

As for the hole, Idk, my first 49cc 4 stroke is supposed to be here Friday. lol. If you do have it over full, you can expect some seepage though, same with any small engine. If no one has replied by time I get mine, I'll do an inspection and let you know if it's a weep hole or a vent.

It's a touch over full on oil, theres supposed to be a hose where you are pointing, that runs to the carburetor. It's the crankcase breather. Find a piece of rubber hose that fits snug in hole & run it towards the ground, however long you wish to make it. Then add a fuel filter to end of hose to act as breather.

Instead of pointing the hose down so the oil drips out Maybe if ya point the hose up 1' no oil will come out

That's if ya don't have a one way air vent valve

Crankcase Breather vents can make an oily mess sometimes, A CAOS (crank case air oil separator) Breather can be put on.
Their easy to make out of a 1"x 3" piece of PVC pipe
Put about 3/4 of a pot scrubber pad in the pipe and cap both ends Put a 1/4" vent hole on the top and a hose fitting on the bottom for the crankcase vent hose. mount the CAOS higher than the vent port.
Now any venting oil will be caught in the pot scrubber pad and only air will come out of the CAOS
This will work if ya don't have a one way air vent, any oil caught in the CAOS needs to gravity drain back to the engine

Where is the governor located? And how you go about removing?

Depending on which huasheng you got, the 49cc governors are built into the ignition coil usually.

I was thinking of tapping it and putting a threaded hose barb on it and running down. Someone said it’s supposed to return to the carb! I swapped out the stock carb for a speed carb so that’s not possible, either way I do t like that concept.
