Intake type question.

I saw on searching that Damien in correct about the direction for that type filter. But I also saw and from my experience, in small engines the direction of the filter is of minimal consequence. They cost under a buck, not much more than a coffee filter in a plastic container.

Not so Wrench...the magnet in the fuel filter is supposed to be aimed towards the gas tank, not away from it for obvious rust and metal flaking reasons
You must of misunderstood me,
Your correct too, If the magnet is towards tank that means the cap is towards the carb as I had said

Not all filters have magnets that's why I didn't mention a magnet

It dont matter what way the magnet faces anyways the fuel will still flow and the filter will still work
If the filter rips from being installed upside down the magnet will then catch any metal dust

There must be a reason why these 2 stroke fuel filters have a directional arrow on them for correct installation...Just saying...lol...people like me use the in-tank, petcock mesh, in the gas tank filters and clean them twice a year versus using external fuel filters...lol...DAMIEN

Not all small engine fuel filters have a direction of fuel flow arrow on them

Bottom line is, at least use one fuel filter.

Full disclosure, my engine hasn’t been run yet. Will it work?

I cut the z-pipe and made a coupler to the original intake, but I dislike it, the bends are horrible. It has to be restrictive.
Its on my redo list to be honest if I can find a mandrel-bent z-pipe.
Is that your bike?

I am officially giving up on this frame today. I spent way more than I wanted to on it already. It will still be a great bicycle and I can move this kit over to a frame with plenty of room.

I tried a few different pieces and angles and whatnots... each different method had its own issues that made it not agreeable.

Let us know how yours goes.
