Yoyoyo.... back in da game! Need suggestions for carb setup

Yeah, gonna try that first before I shell out any more money on 'custom' cables.... ughh. This is supposed to be a shoe-string budget build so hopefully I don't run into any more surprises.
I do what @Karl Snarl recommends on the throttle cable modification if I dont have the proper throttle, Its Easy. But for your reference I've found most slide style carbs need 90-110mm of free cable. With 90% of them being around 100-110mm free cable.

Tell me the steps to go about doing it since you've done it before.

You can pry off the end and cut the plastic to the length you need I would do it in steps with the adjustment bottomed out so you don't cut it too much then work the end back on just don't cut the wire.... There longer the bigger the opening to open farther use a very sharp razor blades roll it as you cut like or a metal automotive brakes line a copper pipe tool will cut it you can put tape on it to mark it... A small socket helps put the end on

Bike shops sell brake cable by the foot with the casing and a barrel on one end. Cut to length and solder a lump on the carb end and file the lump down to fit the carb. Costs like 6 bucks.

You can buy a whole giant kit piece set of cables and sheaths, with end caps and rubber spacers, for like $30 bucks from china. I get mine, 20-30 at a time. I have a lot of bikes and a few MB. I actually use all the stuff I hoard. Saves time when something breaks, I just replace the part and move on with the day. The buy more when I remember or notice my stock is low. Why not buy a whole bunch now, and 2 years later when they cost twice as much, your good because you already have them. That works with anything, lol, even food!!!
