Look at this hackjob. Right through because thats 15mm. I really dont know how to work around this. I can get a new crank for 35$ and drill them only 14mm deep @DieselTech. Maybe @Street Ryderz has something to say on that

Damn it ain't a $6000 small block chevy, idk if I'd worry about it, maybe I'm totally wrong in telling you that, but I'd be willing to try it. If you are real worried about it you could stuff the crank as well, that will restore crankcase pressure or whatever its called. If I caused you to do that I'm sorry.
Just dont make your other two holes as deep to offset the hole you drilled all the way thru the crankshaft. Mine are 13mm as well in that pic I sent you. I'm going to run mine, I'm not scared or worried about it in 1 way. I might be totally wrong, if soo maybe the racers will join in & comment.

If you go all the way through, you need to bevel both edges. Most guys don't have a grinder able to get between the cheeks. By not drill through, you only have to bevel one side, an its facing you.
What engine brand do you have? I just measured 3 new cranks & there all 18.5mm- 18.94mm thick, with the exception of the pic I sent, its 19.5mm thick, but I believe it to be a older crankshaft.
You have some odd ball thing I guess. I've never seen 1 that's only 15mm thick like yours. Lol maybe calipers read different in the Canadian model calipers

A stuffed race crank is where they plug the holes you just drilled with aluminum plugs or a plastic plug like Derlin. I'm going to stuff 1 with a plastic structural 2 part epoxy, right wrong or indifferent. I'm going to cut a snap ring groove in the holes I drilled in the crank to give the epoxy something to bite into. What's anyone's thought on this?
