Hi everyone,
These questions are for people have attempted a 125cc pit bike engine for a build before and/or built a replica motorcycle - motorized bike.
(Im not sure if a 125cc engine has been put on a bike many times:ROFLMAO:)
A, is a 125cc engine worth buying and how difficult is it to retro fit to a frame and B, with a custom bike, is it easier to start with a frame or make one.

Thanks

Ive attempted it and never got it done if that counts lol

it's a heavy motor, we're talking roughly 50-60lbs, can be had for a good price though (roughly 400$ new) its dimensions being longitudinal size also makes it difficult to install without major modification to the frame, keep in mind the width is about 3x that of a "typical" predator 212 to have room for a gearbox, kick start, and stator.

For a custom bike, depending on your skills/time, you might enjoy a fully custom frame. However, I find it easier to start with a cruiser bike frame and make it work to my liking.

Personally, id stick with a 212 build if you are going 4 stroke, or got for a Minarelli hybrid/ Ktm clone if you want that 2 stroke ping!

Easier to build a frame around an engine that big. So much cutting and renforcing , just easier to build around the motor.

I havent built 1 but want to, if I had to use a production frame for the 125cc I would use a micargi stretched bike, would give you enough real estate for engine. But personally something that radical really deserves a custom frame, just to be safe & handle the power the 125cc engine makes. I hope we see your project here soon on the forum!!

Stretch Cruiser Frame?

At this point, mind as well just ride a dirt bike out in the streets. Speaking of dirt bikes, I remember seeing those dirt bikes with pedals that were sold a few years ago.... expensive though.

❤️ the MotoPed
Those MotoPeds take a pit bike motor so ya can either have a 50cc, 125cc or a 150cc Bad AZZ
