Dio Reed Setup - No start issue

OK. But when I unscrew the whole bowl off..... the fuel is very filled, almost to the brim. Is there supposed to be that much fuel?
There is a a specific height the float has to be set at. You need to know what model carb to set the float height to your particular model of carburetor.

How certain are you that it is the float bowl? Has this happened to you before or you've heard of the symptom before? As you can probably tell already, I'm not too mechanically inclined and would rather not tinker with something and possibly screw it up even further.

I've screwed up a lot of stuff learning how it works. F it up good and you'll know how to fix it every time.

I tried to set the height but am confused. Is the needle pin supposed to hang on a thin strip of wire, because mine is? It is said that at a 45 degree angle the tab should slightly make contact with the needle, but not how that is supposed to work since the needle is hung by the wire and just a slight tilt will already make contact with it before the 45 degree angle. Even still, it says the float bowl line is supposed to be close to parallel with the base of the bowl when completely flipped over, not sure if they meant that with the float free hanging or completely seated because even if you flip it over, there is still a bit of room to where u can press the bowl down a bit more to seat the needle.... which will then not be parallel to the base.

Your fuel bowl shouldn't be complete full, there should be room for the float. Remove the carb and bowl, turn it upside down and look at the float. The float should be level with the carb base, just ignore the float needle for now, it should be seated all the way.
Do you remember which post had the picture of your carb, if I take a look at that, then I can tell you how to adjust the float. Some carbs have a little tab or two and some have a wire and some are fixed, but all are adjustable.
What about when I turn and lean and the bike suddenly picks up? What would cause that?
When you lean the bike to steer the fuel sloshes around and adds a little air to the system and the engine will pick up revs.

I have a copy of the OKO PWK 21mm. Turned it upside down, and it IS lined up parallel to the base of the bowl. BUT there is still play in it, not sure if it's completely closed because I can still press down on the needle a tad. So that got me thinking, either my carb is messed up and the needle is not seating as it should, or I need to measure it by lightly pressing down on the float to completely seal with the needle. I feel like it's too rich, no matter where I set the tab the spark plug is still wet after I take it out to check.

This might help.

^^ Yeah, I've seen videos of that drilling of the carburetor..... didn't want to go that route, but I guess I'm gonna have to if I can't dial it in.
