No, the arm keeps it from pedaling backwards on it's own. No No No, bad tractor mechanic, bad!! lol

If you take the pads, out, you risk the drive cone falling off the drive sprocket screw because the brake pads aren't stopping it.
When I built the cranny, that's how I blew up the hub. I left the arm off and just used the bike as is, I put a rim brake on the front so I had some brakes. I didn't realized the coaster still worked until I broke it by reversing the pedals.

Have you thought about a small sheet of carbon fiber? Maybe find a throw away piece at a body shop. Some cold cure resin and some mold release wax sprayed on two pieces of glass so the resin doesn't stick. Probably only need a heavy book to hold flat over night.

The way the reeds work I would want it one piece preferred form boysen and not have to touch it and just trim the top of I trimmed any... I thought about useing the plastic welding sticks and rounding up the corners like the Yz80 reed cage... Closing up the holes ...
The reason why I like the 3pedal Yz80 reed is because chopping off one pedal in my shade tree engineering would = a poorly designed 66cc platform.... The $13 blaster reeds are for a 200cc monster with a 500 pipe on it and I'm thinking it would be too much to get the china squeekie toy to pull a power band through it... The 3 stage blaster might work if it fits because the china doll might be able to pull the first stage and flutter the second stage with the 3rd left out ... Or it's just a fail and there's an index of reed stock... Or stainless steel ...

I made some reeds out of blue shop towel and resin. The pieces I could get up ( need something to release it lol) actually turned out pretty good. lol. I am going to explore it more in the future. Kitty cat guy with the cdi thought it was a bad idea, there's already reeds out there. Theres already cdi's out there, didn't stop him from stealing a Suzuki cdi and selling it as his own. lol. At least I know no one sells blue shop towel reeds!! ahahahahahah

Some wax on the inside and JB weld and stuff the cage and block completely with a tube the size of the carbs bore spray waxed or left in.. PVC thin walled... Is another thing I'm pondering....

Boy, i hope your not referring to me when you say the "kitty cat guy" in this missive since i didn't ever steal anyones CDI ideas and make them my own...lol...people here know me as the guy that has cats...lol...lol.
