Preferred oil

Who remembers Bell Ray racing oil? I used to mix a 12.8 OZ bottle to 5 gallons of gas, had that castor oil smell. I found a bottle at a garage sale a couple of years ago for $1, I ran it through my two cycle stuff at 32/1 also.

It's amazing how much oil you will find inside of the crankcase when you break it down, at 32/1 I have a film of oil on everything.
All the gas will evaporate leaving just the oil, try taking a carb apart that sat all winter.

Does anyone else get a lot of smoke with the walmart stuff? At 25:1 it's so bad that i started to feel bad!

Change to 32:1...the Amsoil Dominator already discussed on this thread is known to be a "smokeless" oil...at least it is for me.
Yeah my Lucas is also smokeless even at 25:1.
I was just asking if this was a common thing with the Wally brand, I mix some up for a buddy and was amazed with how smoky it was.

I run Lucas semi-synthetic at 32/1, I have two engines over 10 years old running on it. I had the head off of both this week and the bore on both show minimal wear. Maybe I'm just lucky but I doubt it, I break in all new engines at 24/1 for a couple of tanks then go to 32/1. I run mine hard too, I don't know how accurate the tach is but I turned 8200 rpm on the grubee 48.
I add some blendzall 455 to that ( the lucas semi 2 stroke air cooled oil), and I will run my engines full throttle red line, for quite the straight away distance, when racing friends. Never had a failure, even though she'll be screaming her guts out as I'm pounding on her. My buddies can't figure out why I can beat the tar out of my bikes and they last forever, and they try it and soon to need a new engine. lol. That extra castor in the mix really saves on cylinder wear if you are rough on the engines.

Certainly makes sense, it seems to run just fine just a lot of smoke.

You like that farm project dude? Check his YouTube out it's pretty neat
