I think a clutch pad upgrade is biggest help on slipping clutch. I've yet to have a problem with my 49mm steel sleeve engine, & I'd say it's making good power. Some guys just do clutch pad & a clutch spring upgrade & have good luck. But there is high dollar clutch setups out there. Might cost you a kidney thou!!!
Stock clucth is good in my op to 5-6hp. After that they slip so bad when you goose it, you need a better spring.
Thanks guys. I will run stock. I wasn't worried about the spring seeing it can be tightened a little. Also considering it doesn't start from 0mph like mini bikes or pocket bikes. So engagement is a little easier on the pads. My 49mm should be around that 5-6 range.
Probably closer to 3 to 4 range.
I would be fine with that range. I will be blue printing the case among other things. Just want good low-mid range, don't really care about top speed. That's what my poweradded cars are for!!
