GruBee's website and sales person told me this will not fit. Liars ! I bought a 4G from Bicycle Engines where Molly in customer service was so nice to send me 3 pictures of what she had. So I ordered it and it fits perfect. Great people to do business with.

It's important for us who have 7G tranys to keep track of who might be selling replacement parts. Belts, and bearings and CC are no problem so all that's left is a replacement clutch bell. BGF motors had them in the past, no longer. They only have the friction shoes. Anyone know where to find a clutch bell for a straight shaft 142F engine?

Is the drive pulley separate from the clutch bell, like 2 or 3 set screws hold belt pulley to clutch bell?

Actually, the black area with the teeth appears to be pressed into the bell. On the inside, it looks like the pattern of the teeth have been stamped into the steel face of the bell itself. No welds, or set screws. Maybe a slight bit of "peening" ?

This sales person should've just told you they don't know if it'd fit.

No no, they didn't want to lose a sale to another company. You just have to know it would fit if they flat out tell you that it won't.
Selling a part is still better than selling nothing. I personally believe the sales person didn't know and they gambled it wouldn't fit. Because if they told the OP it would and then it didn't they would've really been mad at them. Pictures should be sent showing Gru-Bee it will fit. There's a pretty good chance they'll tell future 7G owners the large 4G pulley will fit. Companies just like people can sometimes make a bad call.
