What do you guys think about Emmo.ca mountain eBike

Those prices are just for the bike and not the motor and will probably change once I start looking for a bike, I'm expecting to pay at least $3~400 for the gas powered motor and around $2000 for the electric, I don't plan on going far with the electric I just want a lighter bike for short commutes 20~30 Km on a charge hopefully 48v and ~20 amp hours

Starting with a 48V battery is the second biggest..., maybe the third biggest mistake that you can make with an ebike. But, you do you. So you finish with two mediocre bikes that can't be ridden side by side. I don't get it but like I said, you do you. Stay safe.

I am very new to the electric motors and related parts, I have only been looking for a short time.

please educate me if you can I am willing to do it right the first time, The only limiting thing on what I build is what I spend which will probably max out at about $2500 ~2800 for the bike and motor + battery.

Also if you know a reputable place in Canada I can order the parts from would be appreciated.

Not that I personally recommend a hub motor but you say you have an ebike vendor close that will maintain the bike and you are choosing to go the other way? My best recommendation is don't spend any money until you actually know what you want.

Right now I'm just doin some homework nothing will set until I get the bike to put it on, So far I'm leaning toward a geared rear hub

Then you really need to keep doing your homework. Spend a few hours at batteryuniversity.com. Get MINIMUM 52V batteries that max charge to 58.8V anything less isn't enough.
