so ive taken a 26in Cranbrook cruiser and decided yep. Motorize it by all means. First thing i did is removed fenders, rear break assembly, And most important modifaction.. cut/grinded top curvy bar that makes it impossible to fit a motor with it on bike... Pictures will be soon uploaded but yeah one problem ive ran into is the front motor mounts dont slide over frame rail, tube is to thick.. dont really want to beat/manipulate frame to fit motor but more so want to manipulate motors front mount to fit frame safely.. ideas???? annnnd go. thanks

Here is my cranbrook, I didnt need to cut bar out or dent main down tube to fit my 100cc 2 stroke engine.

Btw: welcome to the forum!! Cant wait to see some pics!! of your build. We like pics on this site!!! Here is a close up pic of my engine, I used the steel plate & bolted it to engine with 2 short bolts, then used 2 long bolts to go thru the steel plate & on each side of down tube then used the half moon clamp & nuts for front engine mount.

Just asking. The red Cranbrook cruiser, the down tube diameter, is that 1.65 inches?

It's the very first bullet point in their sales ad...lol...I put a very thin slice of rubber between my tube and where the clamp is.

To find out what your tube diameter is on the cranbrook, just measure it...It looks the same as mine on the Hyper bike I ride.

  • Inner Diameter: 1.65" (42.5mm);Compatible with all brand 2 stroke motors no matter how wide or small the front mount it is

Yeah I'm sure mine is 1⅝" or 1.625" on the down tube, I would have to go measure it in the morning to know for sure.

Roughly slapped on. Awaiting a better approach for the front mount. Dont wanna damage frame to make fit

The better approach for the front mount I have already given in previous post above.

It will do the same thing my own homemade front mount has already been doing for the last two years and almost 1200 miles...It just stays put and firmly holds the motor in place coinciding with the rear mount...Pics of my homemade front mount below...DAMIEM
