Idle screw, hp carb dellorto Sha clone

Replaced the carb with the default one but made something to keep the air filter and I had a ride of 6km, same road, all went ok. I will keep it this way until I can find some jets to test it again. For slide mod, what number should I choose? Mine is #1.

Since when did they offer different slides for the sha? Or is this something you modify on your own? I agree with Karl, I would use the #2, #4 or possibly #12. I run a couple of these carbs, & the best performing carb i have, has a slide like the #2. I'm running it on a 4 stroke huasheng thou.

They have been around a long time, lol. I learned about the slides when I was younger and messing with scooters. We used to angle the bottoms and make a slight V shape of it on the horizontal.

I'm not sure of the function of that tube, but the few of the 15:15 carbs I have, none have that little 90° tube.

Do you have an in venturi emulsion tube, or a base of venturi emulsion tube?

Is there a tube with little holes in that runs through the venturi, or is there just a needle that goes up and down?

Is a tube with holes, 1 idle, 2 more after that and another one the opposite side from the air filter. I tried to rotate it because the idle one and the other from air filter were not aligned with the body holes properly. When you asked about venturi I was thinking about the tunnel if is changing the diameter The needle with the C clip is inside old carb.
I'm still hoping that will idle better with side grinding #2. Maybe it needs more air. As for jet, I don't know what size does it have, nothing on it. I ordered 5 jets from 60 to 80 to test them out.

This carb is just evil. After grinding the slide, still won't idle. And I see too much smoke VS the old carb.
