If thats a stock motor with stock carby and your going to 9k it is probably not going to run at all...You need drastic modifications for the cheap CG motors to run at extreme altitudes...I know people who had to sell their "retirement" homes in Cloudcroft NM because at 9k to 9.5k, they cant breathe without oxygen tanks because of their age and health at such a high altitude where the air is so much thinner.

(Also the reason why drinkers get drunk off of two or three drinks at altitude much quicker than they would normally until at least 72 hours have passed to balance out their blood nitrogen/O2 levels at higher elevations etc...lol.)

You are going to have to do a lot of trial and error adjustments at that 9k altitude with different jet sizes and needle valve settings to start with just to get it to run at that altitude and then undo everything when you get back to its normal operating altitude again just so you can run it at home again.

Where exactly were you planning to go???,,,Mt Shasta or Mt Whitney???...lol...Can't be Lake Tahoe as thats only around 6 to 6.4k.

I'm going to China Peak for a Mountain Bike race and it's kinda a party after so I wanna bring it. Yes, I know China Peak is the most unheard of place ever. It's East of Fresno. Middle California. By the way if I were to ride it at the Heavenly peak it would be even higher. The peak of Heavenly is around 10k. I'm just glad I'm not taking it to Mammoth. That s**ts base is 10k and peak it 11.1k

I do feel it may not even be getting enough air at 15ft. I don't know why though.

Usually we all ask for a bunch of pics of the overall bike as well as the motor from all angles with carby, etc so we can see if something jumps out at us to really take a good look at so as to solve problems we would not otherwise see.

Ok. I can send video of it running tomorrow. I replaced the CDI and carb so I can check that off my list. Also I pulled the head off, no air or fuel leaks. Does it work better the longer you run it with a new carb and CDI?

It really depends on the type of carby you chose for your setup...I find alot of the aftermarket carbs need an extreme amount of tinkering to get them to run right under just normal circumstances, let alone going for extreme altitudes...Personally I run a BoFeng carby that replaced my stock NT carby and it runs wonderful even at my 4500 ft altitude.

Can you send a link to your carb? I have one of those racing carbs but the choke on it broke so I changed it. The piece didn't release when I gave a full throttle like it should.

Yep...Don't let the low price fool you...This sucker works well...It should come with an O ring that fits inside the carby where the intake goes in...If not, get one at your local auto parts store and ask them for the Viton O ring since it is resistant to gas and oil unlike some others that are out there.
