Hello all!
Last night I ordered a short ... straight ... CNC intake. Currently my build has very little room for the air filter... the stock "speed" (red) air filter just BARELY fits (I have to actually maneuver it correctly to get it on). In an effort to make enough room to add an aftermarket air filter (mostly for "looks" to be honest) I picked up the shorty intake figuring short and straight = better than long with a bend... and the added bonus of more room for an air filter! So I bought.
I went out an took a good look at the current setup. I am wondering... with the new straight intake, how in the heck is the clutch going to work? It doesn't appear there is enough room for the carb being down low AND the clutch cable with the pivot/mount in the center/rear of the engine and what not... though it HAS to be able to clear else there wouldn't be so many positive reviews of these things... right?!?
What do you guys do if you're running a short/straight intake?
