Idle screw, hp carb dellorto Sha clone

The Sha clone came with the air filter frome the picture from above but I adapted it to the stock carb. Comparing the jet that came with the clone with the wrong jets that the aliexpress sent (4mm) I think it was something to .90 and I think that was the problem with not staying at idle. Maybe another week until the 5mm jets are coming (If they sent the wrong size again I will burn the carb 😂). If I knew that the "performance" carb is a dellorto clone, I would go for a original one but I gained new information and found new things about carbs with this mistake.
For some decent bottom end power, instead of an SHA, I'd go by a PHBG 15 or 16. They are mofos to tune, but they are the best for the buck.

But to pick a specific model, there's quite a list of things to consider:

If you desire a carburetor with a specific connection (Flanged, SHA style female slot, rubber manifold and hose clamps); a left or right handed position of the choke level, idle screw and A/F screw; the presence or absence of an oil mixer circuit; and if your choke should be operated via a throttle cable, or manually.

Dell'Orto has all sort of variants in matter of PHB type carburetors. I'm omitting the "G" because in the Dell'Orto nomenclature, the last letter points out the size range of the carburetor's venturi, the G is from 15 to 21 mm.

PHBs ranges all the way from 15 to 36mm monsters!

Oooo yes I saw once a thread about phb tuning, you could do hundreds of variations on them. And for right reason, Italy is full of scouters. When I went to Vatican, I also visited the city. 100 scouters per 1mp square 😂😂😂
That's why I also have Mikuni VM18 on list, is easier to tune but for me will be safer to order a genuine dellorto from Italy than a genuine mikuni. In my country I bet that all are clones sold as genuine. If I'm looking at photos, I can't see the markings. And what is worse, clones are sold at genuine prices 😂

Oh daaang. I can hook up with a Dell'Orto dealer and try to get something for you.

*update*

I got a PHBG 19 CS for you, it has a rigid female attack adaptable from ø26 to ø24 manifolds (like the SHA), a manually operated choke, and it has mixer circuit is included, so you can hook a separate oil tank and forget about the mixture. It comes with a W9 needle, a 262AN atomizer (ideal for 4 strokes, but it can be swapped), 75 main jet, 45 main jet, 60 starter jet.

The 262AN atomizer is a 4 stroke atomizer. The 262AU atomizer is optimized for the 2strokes.

Oh lmao, my autocorrector must have sneaked in again; fixed.
That's so odd, if this carburetor is equipped with a 262AN, the oil mixer is kinda out of place.
Oh well, the last time I saw an atomizer swap on a PHBG it consisted into pushing it out along its holder, sliding and orienting the new stuff correctly and gently tapping it into place with something soft, eg a nylon swab.

Today arrived the jets, tried the lowest one #65, now is not dying at idle but I have a feeling that even #65 is too much. After a ride, at first was accelerating ok but on way back I had a loss of power uphill, seemed like engine was flooded, was murmuring, then bagan to accelerate again. I have to check the plug but I bet that is oily black. Is raining now (thank you God) so I`ll leave it for tomorrorw.

Return those gets and try with a leaner set, Dell'Orto jets can go as low as 35; it's not the case with an SHA, but Polini sells kits with 1 point increments for fine tuning; once you find the sweet spot, you could get your hands on one of those sets for a finer tune; Dell'Orto jets tragically has variable increments (sometimes 1 sometimes 3 increments).

That's sounds way too low of a main jet for the huasheng 142f, I would think it would take a minimum main jet of 68. I'm at 800-1200 feet above sea level & running a 75 main on my huasheng 142f.

Hmm I'm at 536ft. I will see the plug if is brown (like with old carb). If is white I will try 68, if is black.. tough times, can't go lower 😂 and to buy another set of jets.. I'll have to wait another 3 weeks. At least is not dying at idle as before, and the idle screw is at minimum, maybe half turn in.
One remark, with old nt style carb, the gas filter was maybe half full, now with this carb is always full. Does it matter?

Your fuel line probably had the chance to purge the air trapped inside the filter. Curiously, when I moved from a paper filter to a serviceable one, I got the exact opposite; from an always full filter, now my level inside the line just stops half way between the filter and the banjo connector.
