Stihl ts400 take 2

I bought a stock ts400 piston and jug kit. It has the correct wrist pin diameter, and after the balance, it will rev to the moon. I did a 10k rpm balance and plan on making a custom expansion to suit - eventually.

I made a fun/quick pipe for Rusty. Pics floating here somewhere

Started messing with Frankie today:

Here you can see where I pressed the tube over the spigot. During testing, I had a piece of radiator hose, but it was a bit jankey to use on a bike. I honed a piece of tubing and when pressing it on, but it fouled the adapter plate:

Looking closer, there's just not enough meat near the case bolts. Might be a lot more work, but might be able to use some ally tubing welded on the outside of the transfer area, and weld the old holes completely closed, then re-drill. Basically move the two top case bolts outboard in both directions.

Also noticed this some dings on the piston. Might have been a little rough throwing it in the box after being angry with myself. This doesn't appear to be from a running issue:

I have an extra jug/piston, not sure I want to mess with filing this crap.

No turning back now. Figured this case is already fubar.

Thinking making new bolt bosses, like this:

Weld the round stock to the case and redrill/thread/sink the holes.

Just the opposite. My shop is a blivet. Just happened to clean the tool box, so that's the first place to get refilled. Haha. Take notice of the background in the video. Three lifts and 5 cars on/under them.... :(

10 doesn't fit in 5. That's the ratio I grew up with. Just like it used to be "drop a dime", but when my step dad passed, he would say "fifteen cents".

Inflation...lol...lol.
Was $.35 in FL last I saw a change operated pay phone. One of the kids were born in 1999 and we had a pay phone near the house, next to a phone pole, and three at the fuel station across the street. My cell phone was like $900 and got 200min for $100/mo, $.25/min after. Pagers were actually the cool thing.
