4 cycle shifter mountain bike

I built this bike in 2010 and ride it off and on since then. It operates flawlessly and only issue since 2010 has been new chain. You can ride it with engine running or engine off doesn't make much difference other then weight of motor system. I am getting up in age and don't ride much anymore due to health issues. My question is would anyone have any interest in a turn key moterized shifter bike for about 750. I hate to just hang it from the ceiling and not be used. I am located near Seattle Washington.

I never really felt the need for more gears as it will climb anything I can stay on the bike for and still go faster than I should so I felt simple was good, but kudos to you for innovation.
Seems complex at first glance, until you apply my color coded shifting system. All shifting is done with the left hand. The only time a front chainring is shifted is when in either rear cogs (3) or (5). Take off gears are 1(1) for steep climbs or heavy load pulling. 2(3) is for all other starts. The system gives me 9 sequential non-redundant ratios. My reduction range is 66.79:1 to 16.25:1. My system also eliminates cross chaining. I also use a tachometer to shift by thus at WOT I'm never over revving or under engine strain.

Mess with the motor mounts to change the oil? Put a hose that fits into the filler neck and just hold the bike up to drain it into a can.

Well I'm getting older so I find that two bolts with an indexed motor plate are pretty easy for me. I can see your way would work...

You win...
I just want to say I feel bad for you not being able to ride due to health issues. I've been through heart surgeries and soon will have neck then shortly later back surgery. My bike brings me such joy to ride.

Though I didn't invent the triple chainring shifter; David Staton did that, I did develop the simplified one handed shifting system. You too are unique in that you made your own shift kit. I feel the motorized bicycle world is losing a good rider. I wish you well in life.

Thanks for that sentiment. Having had back surgery many years ago that did not go well I spent several years in constant pain. Being the stubborn individual I started riding this mountain bike everyday in very short rides until one day the pain just quit. For the most part has been gone ever since. Now there are new health challenges. Where i live it is not very safe in my condition to ride so I choose to leave the sport. No regrets.
I wish you the best in your upcoming challenges and only advice is to minimize the pain medicine and rehab as soon as doctor says ok.
Good luck

There's where I've had a lot of practice between heart surgeries, hernia surgeries, a broken hip; I only take enough pain meds to tolerate the pain not get rid of it. I always get the weakest pills and don't renew the script.
