What's the longest ride ya'll have gone on? I'm going cabin crazy here and I'm thinking about doing a long cruise mostly for fun and just to release some cabin fever steam... about 100 miles each way.

Has anyone does this with their MBs? I know certain people who have done this with conventional bicycles, however I would die half way there just pedalling.

Curious if anyone has done this before I decide to do it. Where I am from there's a lovely road that follows the lake for a real long time and I'm seriously considering going for a few day cruise along it. Bring a tent and camp where I can type of thing. It will probably end up being an entire weekend friday evening to sunday night type of thing.

I'd like to ride to Damiens one day. But there is a like 20 mile long trucks going 35 in a 75 steep climb between us. The other side is downhill for 60 miles though :ROFLMAO: -- oh but then like 60 miles uphill on the way back... sheesh

Well my planned route is almost entirely flat , due to where I live.

I get the hill thing I've driven through kentuck, tennessee, georgia, alabama, etc. those hills can get insane. Not the case here. Entirely friggen flat.

I picked up an Ibex or something like that trailer on marketplace really cheap. Something like that would be great if you can figure out how to shield the exhaust oil spray.

True. Then I could maybe pull my wife along with me since she absolutely sucks at riding anything with 2 wheels, which is why I haven't built her a MB yet. She can barely ride a normal bike :ROFLMAO:

I think I'm planning this for about 3 weeks from now so I can set up the logistics. Gas, Water, Food, etc. There are a lot of places around this country area I can phantom camp I'm not worried about legit camp sites. Whatever I can carry on my back, and I do have a bike rack that I haven't found much use for.

I'm literally going cabin fever here in case you haven't noticed. I'm thinking maybe going hobo status (except for the MB, tent, and supplies of course) for a few days just for freakin fun.

Just make sure you have your cell phone and a buddy on standby with a pickup truck, just in case your bike fails you and you need to get rescued...lol.

Ps...Did you know that in 1903, the first motorised coast to coast trip in the US from San Francisco to New York City was actually done by a motorised bicycle over a 50 day trip???...Not by car, but by motorised bicycle...lol....lol.

It was also done in the same year with a guy in his Packard in the same year.

The motorised bike started his trip May 16, 1903 and arrived in New York City on July 6, 1903.

The guys in the packard left San Francisco on June 20, 1903...the car took 71 days with two different drivers and didn't arrive in NYC until the very end of August 1903...The bike beat them as the bike took only 50 days and the car took 71 days...lol

Giving me more fuel for my fire.

I'm not surprised back then to be fair without any proper roads.

That's like a pre-route66 trip on steroids. What I wouldn't give to be alive back then and do that s**t. Just after the west was tamed.

After oregon trail but pre normal auto roads. Unique time in history for sure.

Go for it you'll have a blast

I got my Kicks on Route 66

There's a guy that goes by "travelhart" that has crossed most of the country on a motorized bicycle, he's got a FB page and has posted on the other forum from time to time. He carries a tent and supplies and camps along the way, using campgrounds when possible.
