Skewer. Love it. Why not use common mans tools? A screwdriver is just as effective.

:D

Skewer... hehehe... we ain't B-B-Qin'...

:)
Because especially with aluminum rims it's easy to put nicks in the rim that can cut tubes and tires. It's also possible to put other punctures in the tube. With plastic levers this can be avoided. These plastic levers are often cheaper than a quality screwdriver.

Or you can do it the way I have done it from the time I was just a boy till now...I use my nail clippers...lol...Yep...The lever end that moves works perfectly to get a tire on a rim quite rapidly and doesnt flex like plastic, yet has no sharp ends to puncture like screwdrivers...lol.

Um... I was referring to the installation video above and the skewer he uses (and points out more than once) to line up the rim liner. I wasn't referring to removing/replacing tires.

:)

You could use electrical cloth tape first, then use electrical rubber tape (not standard vinyl electrical tape), followed by another layer of electrical cloth tape.
Sure ya could if it's already available in your tool box. But I wouldn't run out and buy it to use as rim tape.

Yeah, it was that cheap China Vinyl black tape 10 rolls for $5 that dried hard and turned into a razor blade
