The plastic circle on my pulley chain tensioner (the part that spins and the chain rests on) blew off and flew off in to the abyss. I believe it wore out and the plastic cracked and it gave out. Any good replacements that have a harder material then plastic, maybe some sort of metal? I currently have about 500 miles on the bike.

2nd the grubee one. It can be found on other sites / amazon / ebay. The pulley is out of round but I'm at around 400 or 500 miles (gotta calculate) and have had zero issues with it. There are other versions that are similar without the chain sprocket, I'd imagine they're decent as well although I have no person experience with them.

I'll never run a chain stay tensioner ever.

Spell check is retarded. Tensioner is obviously a real word.

Thus far I have zero issues with the ARCH tensioner. The cheapest place to get it is Bike Berry if you buy over a hundred bucks of crap and get free shipping... otherwise it's about the same anywhere.

I bought one like this,

Chopped it up and rewelded it to fit, works a peach.

The main thing I see... The spring loaded tensioner takes up any goofiness in the alignment / trueness of the rear sprocket.... Mine jumps a bit no doubt because mine isn't 100% true but I centered it with 1/4" or 0.25"mm shims I forget. But it aint perfect
