Well my bike was not running well today so I was adjusting the air screw and it vibed out into a crack on the sidewalk. Well naturally I figured I have a new 142 that I can't really ride cuz of the gears so I begin to loosen the airscrew and it breaks! So I had to take everything apart put the new carb on which was an ordeal on a micargi Seattle. Now it stalls if I don't gas it while turning off the choke

Sounds like to me you developed a air leak at carb to engine block when swapping carbs out.
Get your bike running & spray around carb to engine block mounting bolts with carb cleaner, wd40 or something similar & see if engine rpm changes, if rpm does change there is a air leak somewhere on carb mounting.

Yes, there are several things you can do to spice up the power that I have
mentioned several times, and which I have done on two 142s: First the carb,
reem out the fuel jet to 0.026, then using a fine .001 wire to clear the hole under
the carb stop, install a high fuel flow filter, and drill several 1/4 inch holes in
the carb filter cover. For 18% more power, install a 28 inch long, 7/8 inch id
flexible steel exhaust, proven on a dyno to produce 18% more power. Change
your ratio to 4:1 on the belt drive, 10T drive sprocket with a 41T rear sprocket
for a top speed of 32mph, and plenty of torque. This setup will prove to be
much more reliable than any two stroke. And if you're really into it, mod the
belt drive from a brass bushing to an Olite bushing like I did. Follow my
posts to learn how to accomplish all this.

Alright so I put the newer carb on my daily driver there one that way acting weird with the choke. Like high idle to start and crazy Spinning wheel
Then open the carb and it sounds like it will almost stall, like barely idle.....
However, I took her for a vital trip today and to like 3 stores.... She's running better than ever ..
Too speed up 3 mph and man the pick up! This thing is a slow cruiser. But I love it. New pipe and yes I know I have to use a 7/8 straight pipe.
But I had the one I used and I dunno. It's the weirdest thing. I thought I was screwed but it is what it is I got lucky. Of course I got no back up bike now but I'm gonna fix that.
I ordered and received the new carburetor but in just gonna leave things the way they are for now and think on what I wanna do with the other bike. I got ALOT of stuff posted on offer up, craiglist etc. So I painted her too! Lol let's see what you think..... Yeah yeah I know my work area is a mess. But it better than no work area! Thanks guy I do t k ow what happened to this thing overnight but she did forty miles today about and after leaving me house hot the first location on record time! Well freinds gotta run gotta be up at 6 am ride about ten miles then sit with a screaming baby and a 9 year old who is completely unmanageable! Lol 😂 but they are my fam and I love them..

As usual guys any tips and stuff are appreciated
And ideas for my back up? CDH frame and fork AND I have a suspension fork too. Got lots of motors unfortunately they the wrong ones but maybe some thought and ingenuity I can make it happen. Sorry so long just wanted to share something good happened

might of been said... don't feel like going through Pages

1. Straight Pipe
2. NGK Plug
3. Get a Feeler Gauge and make sure it's adjusted

if your really into it a intake adapter to use a 2-stroke carb and cone filter this will allow for much more finer tuning

Yeah well had a couple of good days now the whole thing has gone to s**t. Think my bell is shot now clutch equally shot. Clanging clanking. Lucky I made it home . So now pretty well screwed. No transportation at a time that's it's absolutely vital. Ugh fml
