Yep that looks just like mine except for the carb and tensioner. I have some all metal rat trap pedals I haven't put on yet. I hope they are the right size. Those plastic pedals don't have much grip.

WARNING: Eating crap with nice sharp metal pedals is detrimental to your skin. My brother ate crap on his mountain bike with nice sharp metal pedals... the very same pedals that took out a 3/4" wide x 2" long x 1/2" deep chunk of flesh from the back of his leg when it happened.

Just a FYI.

My 2nd project I went with something a little heartier but not quite as "teethy" as what my bro ate crap using...

Yeah I had rat traps on my old huffy when I was a kid and I tore my shins up on them a few times. I wish I still had that bike. I don't even know what ever happened to it.

I don't plan on wearing shorts on the motorized bike, so my shins should be ok
It happens to bicycle riders when they pedal aggressively or wreck. You'll be fine on a M/B
The only time your foot might slip off the pedal is during pedal starting or an aggressive pedal assist
Most of the time riding a M/B your not pedaling unlike a bicycle
