Modifying frame to mount engine ?

My Kent Bayside frame tubes are just a few mm to thick to mount engine with out that flat plate adapter it's a steel frame if I use torch and a bending tool would that work? I thought about heating tube then use channel locks to bend the tube a tad bit ?

I wouldn't. What's the matter with the wide mount?

Show us a pic of your mount bolted to engine & then sit engine in bike to take us a couple more pics. I'm betting somebody will get you fixed up. Pics helps explains things sometimes, better than words.
