Newest Phantom 85 Information

Do you know the numbers the seals appear different but ones damaged so I can't see the numbers on it it looks like 14.6x27x7.5 but those are the numbers on the non damaged one but they look so different

You mean the seals you would have just replaced due to the fact that you just finished re-doing and balancing your crank rod and just put it all back together type seals???
You missed part there buddy but yes those are the seals I need

FWIW I've asked Molly if the Phantom can be had solo (sans kit)... or plans to offer it. I also asked about any potential future accessories for it....

Sounds like they use the crank seals literally everyone else does...

would anybody seriously / actually recommend buying a V3 phantom or wait for the V4 (if it ever happens) ? I'm weeks away from getting my driver's license back and am seriously considering this as a christmas present to myself.

They use 2 of the wide seals yep. Nothing fancy.

There is no V3. The current engine is still V2 but with a different rod and wrist pin bearing.

I can ony tell you that so far, the warranty motor they sent me after my first one failed, has been running flawlessly...Ask me again before giving yourself the Christmas gift...lol...They will more than likely have a sale price for the Christmas season as well...lol.

Ps...They still call it V-2 at the moment even though it is the second rendition of the V-2...my replacement was a much improved unit over the first V-2 I had...lol.

V2 with different parts I thought was considered V3 (I've seen it referenced a few times). I guess I'll wait until December at least. Probably going to need new wheels / tubes / tires by then lol
